Killington

Killington Resort, the largest in New England, has seven mountain peaks, 200 trails, five terrain parks, 33 lifts, and a vertical drop of 3,050 feet. There are seven lodges, include one at the top of Killington Peak.

Middlebury College Snow Bowl

Operated by Middlebury College, and open to the public, the Snow Bowl offers skiing and snowboarding to all ability levels. One hundred ten acres of open terrain are available with trails and glades serving all abilities. There are three lifts and 15 trails on a vertical drop of 1,050 feet.

Sugarbush Resort

Sugarbush, on six mountains boasts 111 trails, 2,600 feet of vertical and 40 acres of wooded terrain. There are 16t lifts and five lodges on the mountain. There is snowshoeing and even snowcat rides

Suicide Six

Adjacent to where there first ski lift was created. Suicide Six Ski Area opened in 1937 The mountain has 23 trails, And three lifts. The area is part of the historic Woodstock Inn.

Hard'ack

With nearly 700 feet of rope tow, Hard'ack combines affordability with great local access for families to enjoy traditional Vermont recreation. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, skating, sliding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing can all be enjoyed at Hard'ack. The ski hill, towrope, and sliding hill will be operated and supervised during specific hours of operation. There is no charge to use any of Hard'ack's facilities, but donations are accepted. Hours for the 2011 season are: Thursday, 4-5 p.m.; Friday, 4-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. -5 p.m. Rink open on weekends from noon to 2 p.m. is for public skating. No sticks or pucks Allowed on the Ice.

Jay Peak

The mountain also features eight lifts, including an aerial tramway, 76 trails for skiers and riders of all abilities. Jay Peak’s 2,153 vertical drop accommodates trails and slopes for all levels of skiers.

Stowe Mountain Resort

Situated on Vermont’s largest mountain, Stowe has a vertical drop of 2,360 feet, 48 trail and 13 lifts as well as terrain parks and a superpipe. There is an adaptive skiing program, snowshoeing and dog sledding.

Magic Mountain

Magic Mountain has 40 downhill trails, including two black diamonds, over 120 skiable acres of property with a vertical drop of 1,700 feet. Snow tubing is offered on the Alakazam Tubing Park, open weekends and school vacation periods. Guests must be at least 44 inches tall to tube.

Mount Snow

In addition to Alpine skiing on four mountains Mount Snow features many other activities including tubing, snowmobile tours, snowshoeing and a full compliment of spa services. There are 145 trail, terrain parks, pipe and tubing park. There are 23 lifts and a vertical drop of 1,700 feet.
